Esplande, Singapore

(the postcard size - 300 mm x 97mm)

Esplanade ~ Theatres on the Bay, with its distinctive twin shells, has come to be an architectural icon in Singapore as well as one of the world's busiest arts centres.
The two domes in the Esplanade each house a 2,000-seat theatre and a 1,600-seat concert hall, complemented by two smaller studios, an outdoor theatre as well as a mall.

The Esplanade sits just by Marina Bay at the mouth of the Singapore River.
*******************

The roof of the Esplanade just like the durian outer shell :)

That's an interesting shape for a dome.

This building reminds me of the U.S. geodesic dome that we had in Montreal for Expo 67.

It's interesting how the dome of the building copies the shell of the nut. Interesting postcard!
