Whale watching activity at Guishan Island, Yilan

" Guishan Island is the largest island of Yilan County. With the growing popularity of whale watching, Guishan Island has become the hottest tourist attraction."

The shaped board postcard was sent from Lyo, Japan.
As a postcrosser, we send and received postcards from different countries.
But I feel so much happier when I received from Japan instead,
The reasons are
1) neat hand-writing from the postcrosser
2) the pretty stamps
3) never-disappointing postcard

Dumpling

I've received this Dumpling shaped-postcard from Jin Hua of Xi-an , China.
Dumpling (or 饺子 Jiao zi) is a traditional Chinese food. It's one of the most widely loved foods in northern China, as it's popular in cold weather. The dumplings can be boiled in soup / steamed / fried. The dumplings can be filled / stuffed with anything from meat, vegetable to fruit.

What tempting me most about dumpling is eating with the dipping sauce.
My favorite combination ~~ " ginger + vinegar + soy sauce + fish sauce "

Azulejos

img-X07075341-0001

I received this gorgeous un-even postcard from Libania Neves of Portugal.

Azulejo is a form of Portuguese or Spanish painted, tin-glazed, ceramic tilework. They have become a typical aspect of Portuguese culture, having been produced without interruption for five centuries.

In Portugal, azulejos are found on the interior and exterior of churches, palaces, ordinary houses and even train stations or subway stations. They constitute a major aspect of Portuguese architecture as they are applied on walls, floors and even ceilings. They were not only used as an ornamental art form, but also had a specific functional capacity like temperature control at homes.
