Postcard Giveaway : The Heritage Jewel of Penang, Malaysia

Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi, or Khoo Kongsi for short, is one of the most distinctive Chinese clan associations in Malaysia. It is well known worldwide for its extensive lineage that can be traced back 650 years, as well as its closely-knit and defensive congregation of buildings and a magnificent clanhouse.

Khoo Kongsi, together with Cheah, Yeoh, Lim and Tan Kongsi, were known as the Five Big Clans (Goh Tai Seh) that formed the backbone of the Hokkien community in early Penang. Since mid-19th century, having identified their respective bases, these kongsi rooted themselves in an area stretching from Chulia Street Ghaut in Georgetown to the lower part of Beach Street in the south. With the respective clanhouses as the nuclei, these kongsi demarcated their territories with their own terrace houses on three or four sides of the perimeters. This adjoining, closely-knit and defensive model settlement, like a clan village in the colonial city, is a rare form of congregation practised among migrant communities.

In order to win the giveaway, 2 postcards for 2 lucky collector, kindly leave your comment ..."How you keep all your postcards ? In Album ? In a box ? " in this post.

Hi, great giveaway! I keep my postcards in a postcard tower, those things that you can turn around like the ones in the stores. I keep oversized postcards in a gift box.

Hello from Italy, thanks for this giveaway :)
I keep my card in boxes, I have too many, and different sizes don't fit in an album. I've thought of decorating a room wall with cards but then I wouldn't be able to re-read them from time to time, which is something I love doing :)

Those cards are really lovely :)

I keep my postcards in a box, and have some of them up in a painting-like display on the wall.

Great cards! I keep most of my exchanged postcards in a box, but I also have an album of vintage cards. My kids have started purchasing cards for me when they are away from home. I haven't decided how to store these yet.

I keep mine in one of those plastic drawers, organized by domestic, foreign, handwritten, and trades. Whenever I'm bored, I go through one drawer.

Thanks for the giveaway~!
