Hand-carved wooden statue

A hand-carved wooden statue, one of a series of five,
which can be seen in the foyer leading to the Mandarin Grill.

The figure is depicted riding on a mythical beast,
and dates from Ch'ing Dynasty / Qin Dynasty / Manchu Dynasty (1644 - 1912) following a style of the Tang period.

How very beautiful, Lay Hoon. Thank you for contacting me! One of my best friends was from Malaysia.

Expect a postcard, at least! Maybe the full card, too.

Your blog is very fine.
