UNESCO ~ Malacca / Melaka

The Stadthuys was built in 1650 as the official residence of the Dutch Governor.
It now houses the Historic Museum and Ethnography Museum.
Also in the photography is the Christ Church built in 1753, and another fine example of the Dutch architecture.

Built in 1511 by the Portuguese, the A Famosa suffered damages during the Dutch invasion, leaving only its gateway as the hallmark of Malacca today.
