Tips to beat the crowd, Borobudur Sunrise tour

The Borobudur temple is built on top of a hill with stepped pyramidal shape. The temple is in the shape of a traditional Buddhist mandala. The construction of Borobudur temple is divided into three zones of consciousness and central sphere representing unconsciousness or Nirvana. The bell-shaped stupas adapted the Buddhism concept which is reflection of the Universe.

Borobudur is the biggest Buddhist temple in Indonesia. It is located in Mungkid, Magelang. It is about 42km from Yogyakarta (Jogyakarta). Open daily from Monday to Sunday at 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.
