Multiview Postcard of Sofia, Bulgaria

Thank you to Silia for send me this wonderful & colourful multi-view mapcard with such beautiful stamps from Bulgaria. (Europe and Middle East-Asia-Africa-Oceania RR Group #11)

Sofia (Bulgarian: София), is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The magnificent building in the heart of the postcard is Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

I learned from wikipedia, The St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (Bulgarian: Храм-паметник „Свети Александър Невски“, Hram-pametnik „Sveti Aleksandar Nevski“) is a Bulgarian Orthodox cathedral in Sofia. Built in Neo-Byzantine style, it serves as the cathedral church of the Patriarch of Bulgaria and is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world, as well as one of Sofia's symbols and primary tourist attractions.

Map Postcard from Cádiz

Spain (Spanish: España) or the Kingdom of Spain (Spanish: Reino de España)

Thank you to Caroline to send me from her hometown ~ Jerez de la Frontera.
Jerez de la Frontera is a municipality in the province of Cádiz in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southwestern Spain.

The capital of sherry wine, the horse, and flamenco, Jerez, situated midway between the sea and the mountains, has a wealth of appealing tourist attractions, many of them related to the three preoccupations that made the city famous.

Feel yourself Russian !

The first postcard from Russia.

at the Nikolayevsky Palace (a.k.a. Nikolai Palace)

Authentically Russian entertainment will be provided by the following ensembles:

• STARS OF ST. PETERSBURG Dance Ensemble,
• MAIDAN Cossacks Ensemble,
• Vocal Ensemble PETERS-QUARTET,
• Quartet of Russian Folk Instruments RUSSIAN COLOR,
• Ensemble of Historical Dance REVERANS
• CLASSICA String Quartet

The "Feel Yourself Russian" folk show at this 18th-century palace is aggressively promoted at many hotels, and is extremely tourist-oriented. The traditional costumes are superb, if overly bright, and the dancers are strong, but the whole performance is almost stereotypical. It's cheery and accessible to non-Russian speakers, and unlike many similar shows around town that toss in a topless number at the end, this one is family-friendly.

Pink Lake, Western Australia

Western Australia is a state occupying the entire western third of the Australian continent.
Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia.

Esperance is famous for its pristine beaches, spectacular coastal scenery and its unique Pink Lake.

Pink Lake just out of Esperance is pink, and sometimes even purple, depending on weather conditions. In fact depending what time of the day you visit the Lake, and the current water and salinity levels, the pink has been known to change from brilliant blues to a fairy-tale pink. The colour of the lake is attributed to high concentrations of salt tolerant algae, Dunalella Sailina.

Thank you to Megan for sending me those wonderful postcards from her home.
